I was using proxy services to rotate my LLM keys but realised that it is not an ideal solution. API keys can become inherently complex with XX+ params! and they release new models every month or two. Proxy providers are always lagging behind and also rerouting sucks. Instead, I built MaskLLM (https://maskllm.com) the easiest and best way to generate masked keys for rotation across Apps (bolt, lovable, replit etc) & Teams (dev teams, ops teams etc) and SDK packages to resolve the master key securely in backend. Your backend becomes the gateway and you can easily apply your logic for rate limiting, throttling etc. MaskLLM is in beta and I think it is useful for those who have been pasting original keys or sharing them.
