Show HN: Tech Talks Weekly: all the latest conference talks in your inbox

https://www.techtalksweekly.io/p/what-is-tech-talks-weekly
1•techtalksweekly•6mo ago
With hundreds of new Software Engineering talk recordings published across so many conferences every week, it’s hard to keep up. At some point, I became tired of endlessly scrolling through messy YouTube subscriptions to find great talks.

That’s why I started Tech Talks Weekly.

Every week, usually on Wednesday or Thursday, I run a few scripts together with an n8n workflow to pull the talks from the YouTube API, then to aggregate and format them to build a new issue.

Each issue consists of two sections: 1. Featured talks of the week highlighting the most notable must-watch talks of the week. It also contains a short human-written summary (fun fact: this takes up 90% of the time I spend creating an issue!) which TTW readers love as it saves them a lot of time. 2. New talks including the complete list of all the talks that have been uploaded in the past week. These are grouped by conference and ordered by view count.

Currently, I'm tracking over 100 conferences, and the list is growing.

Also, it's worth mentioning that Tech Talks Weekly made it to the main HN page earlier this year: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=43026590

Let me know what you think!
