I've been on dating apps for the past 3 months (ladies of HN, you heard right), including the "marriage apps" within the Muslim community (it's the same basic product). I suspect being Muslim, white, over 35, and not a doctor filters out about 99.99% of women who I might be compatible with. I have chosen not to describe my ideal partner at all for this reason. I'm already pre-filtered to an extreme. Limping along as it is with an eye-patch and two bum legs, why handicap myself even more?

Selection categories sounds wonderful, but then you realize that if you multiply all those 0.x values you get something that tends to zero.

Better leave some space for magic!
