Show HN: Storm MCP – Custom Gateways for Verified MCP Servers

https://stormmcp.ai
3•ColeMCP•6mo ago
Hi HN,

We’ve launched Storm MCP: a secure discovery and access hub for Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers. Instead of hosting your own, connect to verified MCP servers through customizable gateways.

What’s special:

- Fast search for trusted MCP servers - Custom API gateways: expose only the tools you want from each server (improves LLM tool selection, reduces token usage, and expands effective context window) - Secure OAuth-based access and token authentication - Full usage logs, rate limiting, and detailed monitoring - Intuitive UI for technical and non-technical users

Built for AI agent devs, workflow builders, and indie hackers—anyone needing secure, focused access to external context, without managing server infrastructure.

We’re live at stormmcp.ai and eager for feedback. What pain points, features, or new MCP servers should we focus on next?

I've been wanting to get into MCPs, but I thought I wasn't a technical enough person. This looks so easy to use, and I'm excited to start playing with it!
ColeMCP•6mo ago
We noticed that most of the people using LLMs aren't technical, and we wanted to help everyone be able to take full advantage of MCPS!
ai_padawan•6mo ago
I like how the gateway allow me to pick the tools from each MCP. This is very helpful to exclude the create, delete, update tools I don't want to use!
