Given any new web based system, one of the first things it will be applied toward is privacy invasion. Because privacy has become the common currency of the web economy. Every web site with any relationship to advertising is a participant in it --- wittingly or not.

This is the path of least resistance to making money. It's just how capitalism works on the web.
