Show HN: LessonQuill – Generate editable lesson notes from your curriculum

https://lessonsquill.com
1•pelumi_peter•2h ago
Hi HN,

I just launched LessonQuill, an AI-powered tool that helps teachers and instructors generate aligned lesson notes instantly — based on any curriculum or topic you provide.

Why I built it: Teachers spend hours preparing lesson plans, often retyping the same content in different formats for different classes. I wanted to create a tool that does the heavy lifting in seconds, so they can focus more on teaching and less on paperwork.

How it works:

Paste your curriculum or topic.

Set class duration, age group, difficulty level, and number of classes/week.

Click Generate → LessonQuill outputs a complete, structured lesson note you can edit directly in the app.

Notes are auto-saved and organized for future use.

Key features:

Supports any subject or education level

Editable lesson notes (not locked PDFs)

Generates in seconds, not hours

Light, modern UI with collapsible sidebar

Tech stack: TailwindCSS, JavaScript, Gemini API (multimodal support planned) Why HN might care:

Demonstrates a real-world, non-trivial AI use case in education

Lightweight, already getting close to 100 daily users

integrate with Gemini AI, video generation

Live: https://lessonsquill.com

Would love your feedback on:

Features to make it more useful for educators

Edge cases you think AI might struggle with in lesson generation

Integrations or APIs that could make this more powerful
