Perhaps "government lawyers at the FBI" might be more accurate then. Lawyers as a whole are an appreciable reason why anyone can access even these documents — let alone go after better information (see, e.g., https://newrepublic.com/post/198937/judge-chutkan-trump-hate... and the case linked therein, https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/71059502/democracy-forw...).

Lawyers are a protected class in our society and government.

One of the justifications for that is that they must "uphold to the highest standards", whatever that means

The actions of MANY lawyers, who are again, a protected and privileged class, clearly DO NOT UPHOLD any standards that our ancestors would recognize as important, shared American values.

Argue all you want, but we're getting to the point where apologists will no longer be tolerated
