I was also exploring network visualization for a hobby project, but I think it just breaks down once you have too many edges. You can't reasonably navigate it. Improving the rendering performance is an interesting tech challenge, but I don't know if the result would be useful.

Yeah I think you're right. You can see it early on that there's just too many connections to make sense of it easily.

I wonder if 3D clustering would allow for more space.
