I don't get it: why show a prompt with a button if I need to create account in order to actually use it? Such grey patterns make me close the tab immediately.

To people who are upvoting it: why are you doing it? I'd be grateful for a short explanation as the website is scarce on information and in order to use it in any way it forces me to create an account.
