Prexist – Find if your startup idea already exists out there!

I built Prexist to solve a frustration I kept running into —> not knowing if my “brilliant” idea already existed… until it was too late.

What Prexist does: * Search 8+ platforms in one click * See similar products with AI powered analysis * Get suggested keywords and relevance scores * All in a clean, unified interface

Built for: * Founders validating startup ideas * Product managers doing competitive analysis * VCs and consultants doing due diligence

Save hours (or days) of manual research, find out what already exists before you build.

Would love your feedback, ideas, and support If you like it, please give it an upvote and share it with someone who’s building something new!

Nice idea and nicely put together - you might be getting hugged to death right now, but the search never completed for me (and on chrome/android the searching text was overplayed strangely with the names of the places you were searching).

Might be night to have an 'explore' option or something which shows you around a little more? Obviously though recent searches would be very very interesting, I assume many people would be put off by that!

e33or-assasin•2h ago
@ljf, thanks for your suggestions. Fixed the issues, and the website should be working fine for you now.

Please try it. :)

Awesome working well now - I love the idea and good luck! I am someone who used to spend ages reading https://springwise.com/content/innovation/ (though I see now that you need an account to see their studies.
anyg•2h ago
This is useful but not to decide whether to work on an idea or not. Most initial ideas are going to exist somewhere around the world but they may not focus on the angle that we are interested in. So, I think this is more useful as a way to understand existing approaches and see if our insights can lead to a meaningfully different solution.
e33or-assasin•2h ago
@anyg you're absolutely right, and Prexist is not there to determine whether to work on an idea or not. It just tells you how you should plan your product and compare it with existing solutions.

A one shot cross-platform product research, before working on your idea goes a long way, and can save you multiple hours of going through different platforms.
