One wonders where the power is going to come from for ai, crypto, EV’s, climate moderation and manufacturing (particularly things like aluminum)…. Perhaps this is why the current governments are trying to wish EV’s away? And there’s going to be a whole lot of steel and copper to get those electrons to where they’re needed. Maybe aluminum as well.

I would think it sensible to have any vaguely cost effective form of local generation and storage to make all this electric sh*t work.
