SF Doesn't need the revenue from speed cameras

I agree SF shouldn’t have speed cameras or earn revenue from them. But it’s hard to trust location data with a random unknown app. Don’t Waze and other navigation apps already give you speed camera warnings anyways?
pawnti•1h ago
Fair enough. And yes, I believe Waze often eventually introduces features like this, although it seems very inconsistent. And navigation apps require you to be actively using them to get the notifications. I drive around SF and only when traffic is really bad am I actually using nav apps. Yes, be skeptical about where you put your trust for data, but also look at Apple's App Store guidelines and the disclosures the apps need to put on their app listing page. This one doesn't collect any data... compare that with Google, Waze, Facebook, etc which know everything about you, plus things you don't even know about yourself

Or, and hear me out: you could not fly down Fulton at 60mph. Just an idea.
