Tell HN: WINDOWS DECYPHERED (attempt)

1•lihaciudaniel•4h ago
I open limbo x86 emulator on these settings

*Machine Type:

pc-q35-5.1

CPU Model:

host

CPU Cores:

8

RAM Memory (MB)

8184

HDA: windows7.qcow2, HDB: secondary.qcow2*

Then download Cheat Engine 7.6 and try to decompile and understand the entire Windows OS (whie you run the Cheat engine on the OS)

It is like you are running the emulated windows 7 and play with cheat engine trying to decipher ones self.

This you can do on the bus, in a forest. As long you have battery

I will do it everytime I have free time and probably write a book of my findings

EDIT: if you do not understand my post ask me questions

Obviously one can do this on a regular computer, but I WILL DO IT EVERY SINGLE SPARE TIME I HAVE, TRYING TO DECYPHER THE OS. AT ANY OPPORTUNITY I WILL OPEN THE VM AND BEGIN STUDYING
bigyabai•3h ago
There are leaked copies of the Windows 7 source code. It's probably 10-100x more efficient to learn with that instead of poking around memory registers.

From the Guidelines: "Please don't use uppercase for emphasis. If you want to emphasize a word or phrase, put asterisks around it and it will get italicized."
