Seeking Your Thoughts on GlanceBook: A New Financial App

Hello everyone, I'm a solo developer with a deep passion for personal finance.

I built GlanceBook because I found it difficult to get a clear overview of my money. I noticed that many existing finance apps, while powerful, have become quite complex over time, creating a steep learning curve for new users. I wanted to create a simple and intuitive way for people to manage their money, with a focus on helping you understand your financial life "at a glance."

GlanceBook is a small project, and I'm at a stage where I need your honest feedback to make it truly useful for everyone.

Here are the core features currently available in GlanceBook:

Instant Monthly Insights: The main screen gives you a clear overview of your income, expenses, and balance. It also highlights your top 3 spending and income categories with a visual graph, so you know exactly where your money is going.

Effortless Transaction Entry: No more typing categories. Just tap to select from a list and use the built-in calculator to enter amounts quickly.

Visual Data and Custom Calendar: Dive deeper into your spending habits with detailed graphs that show monthly totals, transaction counts, and the share of each category. Our custom calendar makes it easy to track and review your daily income and expenses.

I am also planning to add these features in the future. What are your thoughts on these ideas?

Smart Budgeting Tools: I'm planning to add the ability to set a budget for any category (e.g., 'Groceries') and visualize your remaining balance in a real-time pie chart. The app could even send "risk alerts" if you're close to exceeding your budget before the month ends.

Simplified Transaction Flow: I'm considering streamlining the process of adding transactions. Instead of a single screen, you would enter the amount and date first, then move to a second screen to select the category and location, with an option to add notes or photos.

Your feedback is truly valuable to me. Do you think these planned features would be helpful for your financial life? Please feel free to ask me anything about GlanceBook. Thanks so much for your time and support!
