I worked at a YC-backed startup and later at a Techstars-backed startup as founding engineer. Both were early stage, and like most small teams, we didn’t spend much time on analytics. Everyone was laser focused on shipping features that users asked for, and we rarely measured outcomes through data.
The reality I saw was:
Early teams don’t care about analytics because it feels complicated.
Engineering teams don’t want to maintain dashboards or click through multiple tools just to get answers.
What most people would actually prefer is an API or a simple interface that “just works.”
That’s why I’m building DataLoom. The idea is simple:
Connect your stack (Stripe, HubSpot, PostHog, LiveKit, etc.)
Chat with your data to discover insights
Act on those insights immediately (e.g., send emails, create segments)
No need to switch platforms or build reports manually
Right now, I’m looking for design partners. If you have analytics work that feels repetitive or tedious, I’d be happy to handle it for free while I learn about your workflow and improve the product.
