Problem for all Chinese chip companies is not having access to EUV nodes. That's the biggest hurdle. Until China has its own EUV machines, American chip companies will continue to be well ahead.

I think it's interesting that the US government decided to side with the tech bros (Sam, Elon, Bezo, Zuckerberg) by banning Nvidia hardware to China. This helps American AI labs take a pretty sizable lead in the short term. But long term, this creates a challenge to America's chip dominance by forcing Chinese companies to rely on each other for chips.
