> maybe people were thinking, ‘we’ll sacrifice some culture war things for this good economy that’s going to come from this administration.’ It doesn’t seem like that’s happening.

I know this is just an anecdote but I fly about six times per year Zurich->chicago and my trip this past Friday the plane was less than half full. I've never experienced that - it's usually full. Would be interesting if they start reducing flights - for example every day there's a united flight and a Swiss flight for this route that leave about thirty minutes apart. They are codeshare airlines and could just cut it down to one flight.

To US voters: you reap what you sow. Next time, vote wiser.

I agree, and we have at least 3.5 more years left for this. Plus I believe foreign visitors to the US will continue to decrease as Trump doubles down on this crazy policies.

The funny thing is, except for maybe NYC, most tourists tend to go to red states, where these businesses will get no support from their state gov. This is winning I guess /s

If free and fair elections survive, I expect we will. If not, this will likely be a lifelong lesson on the decline of a nation.

The last such threat to the nation ended with FDR's death, and before that, the end of the Civil War. I hope we'll get another chance.

Considering that ICE has been subjecting visitor phones to search and has been detaining various tourists for dumb reasons instead of giving them a chance to rectify things, I am surprised that any tourists come to the US at all anymore. You shouldn't come to a country that doesn't want you here.
