Show HN: Omoshiro – Private Pinterest/Instagram for Couples

https://hello.omoshiro.app
1•ashaney•3h ago
Hello HN, I built Omoshiro because my partner and I were tired of sending each other interesting links and images through messaging apps where they'd get lost in the conversation history.

Omoshiro (a colloquial to say omoshiroi, which is "interesting" in Japanese) is a private collection space designed exclusively for couples. Think Pinterest meets Instagram, but just for two people; no social pressure, no public profiles, just an intimate space for two people to share and chat privately.

Key features I wanted for an MVP:
  - End-to-end encrypted messaging (I can't read your messages)
  - PWA with full mobile support (works well enough on iOS/Android)
  - Board view (Pinterest-style) or Feed view (Instagram-style)
  - Paste images/links directly with Ctrl+V
  - Multi-device sync with secure key exchange (beta)
  - Couple pairing via 6-digit invite codes
  - Emoji reactions
  - ...and a few more fun little details
If you would like to try it out you can join the waitlist or email me at hello@omoshiro.app if this interests you.
