Google has added more value to my life than any other top company

3•prajwal-s-x•5mo ago
Keeping aside privacy, data, bla bla, which really does not matter when you come from the lower part of the pyramid, Google has added so much value to my life compared to any other so-called top companies with respect to market cap like Nvidia, Microsoft, and Apple. So I really don’t get it when people show so much hatred towards Google compared to other companies.

Google hasn’t added any value to my life. I don’t use a single one of their products, and their dominance in web tech has killed many things I would have benefited from (e.g. RSS, a viable Firefox)

They remove your privacy to make you think that your not worthy and that there is this pyramid. It worked!

I don't use Google's products either. As for Microsoft and other big companies, they deserve the same hate.

cocodill•5mo ago
is that value in the room with you right now?

> So I really don’t get it when people show so much hatred

Human beings have evolved by forming close-knit groups which had strength in being of like mind. To have not shared communal beliefs was to risk being ostracised and expelled often to certain death. Modern humans have continued to share these traits even though they rarely result in any actual danger. Hope that helps.

Google has added no value to my life.

I use none of its products.

The shills and the constant bombardment of everything pro google has clearly worked in this case.

It is impossible for a company to add any value to any human life, unless you disregard the fundamentals of being human and consider staring at a screen all day value.

We humans can get love, compassion, and empathy from other human beings, take our children for instance, how and where does google do this. It can't and it doesn't!

We dont need a computer, a smart phone, or a programming language to interact with our fellow humans.

Take google away and we will still live extraordinary lives.

The OP wants a job.

Dang, you were so close until that last line.
