I built a physical version of the GitHub contribution calendar using a Raspberry Pi Zero W and an LED matrix. It syncs with your GitHub activity and lights up LEDs to match your commit history - green squares and all.
The interesting part is the web interface that lets you deploy common services like Pi-hole, Tailscale, and Syncthing with one click. No SSH needed once it’s set up.
Everything is open source - hardware files, 3D models, schematics, code. Uses NeoPixels for the LEDs and can show weather animations when you’re not committing.
The build uses a custom PCB (thanks PCBWay) but you can also hand-wire it. Takes about a weekend to assemble if you have basic soldering skills.

Would love feedback from the community - especially on the one-click addon deployment approach.
