Show HN: IssuePay Job Offers – Hire developers through their open-source work

https://issuepay.app
1•Mario10•2h ago
Hi HN,

We’ve been working on IssuePay, a platform where developers get rewarded for contributing to GitHub/GitLab issues, and recently, we've launched a new feature Job Offers.

The idea is simple: instead of only hiring only through CVs or LinkedIn, companies can discover and hire developers based on their actual open-source contributions. On IssuePay, organizations can do just that, it's essentially an ATS, but with extra perks designed for developers and companies.

- Post job opportunities directly to developers. - View candidates’ open-source resume (generated by us based on their Github). - Hire with less friction, since you already know how they code, collaborate, and communicate. - Manage applications in a Kanban-style board. - Send emails to candidates directly from the platform. - Schedule interviews/meetings either in-app or via Google Meet.

For developers, this means your contributions can now lead not just to rewards, but also to career opportunities.

This is still an early version, and I’d love your feedback:

- Does this approach solve a real hiring problem for companies? - What would make the “open-source resume” more valuable or trustworthy to hiring a developer? - Are there features you’d expect in the hiring flow that we’re missing?

Thanks for checking it out—excited to hear your thoughts!

We trust strangers' open source more than our colleagues'
