Yeah, the masses now decide who is in control of their narrative.

Unfortunately, the masses today tend to be poorly educated in history, politics, philosophy, economics, the sciences, and mathematics. Look around.

Poorly educated people can be persuaded to believe in far-right and far-left ideologies which have failed in the past: mercantilism, nationalism, communism, central planning, etc.

They don't even know that those ideologies have failed in the past. They remind me of George Santayana's most famous aphorism:

"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it."
