I'm a self-taught mediocre dev, currently jobless.

I’m spending way too much time doom-scrolling news and (fun but sometimes too dense) STEM articles.

Usually, I use LLMs to break them down into bite-sized nuggets. I wanted a more relaxed, enjoyable way to digest it all.

That sparked the idea for explainerslop.

I built it for one main reason: to skip the hassle of manual scripting, training new voice models, and overall production headaches. I just needed a way to paste an article and get the video.

My final vision includes setting up ensembles of famous characters to debate tough topics in their signature styles (think Spongebob optimistically unpacking climate change or Tony Soprano gruffly dissecting the latest tech corporate scandals)
