But how does it do in traffic? Hybrids are complex, sure, but being able to recapture the used to accelerate when decelerating is a fundamental shift in the energy equation, in stop and go traffic.

Kei cars are designed to be primarily city cars. I'm sure there are many areas where it would lack in comparison to a modern vehicle. It is based on an old racing design from the creator of Lotus. The focus was always on power to weight and less is more.
