I built this out of a personal frustration: I had tons of sports and drone footage that looked choppy at 30fps and wanted a simple web tool to smooth it out without needing a heavy video editor.
Videoscope is my solution. It's a web app that uses AI frame interpolation to convert videos to higher framerates or create clean, smooth slow-motion. You upload a clip, choose the effect, and get a much smoother version back.
The backend is built with Rails, running ONNX models on GPU workers managed by AWS Batch. My infrastrcutre is mananaged using OpenTofu and Packer
The core tech is working, and I'd love to get this community's feedback on the concept. Any and all thoughts are welcome.
