Although I'll give her the benefit of the doubt that she can accurately remember her past, the scholarly article Popular Mechanics is referring to seems too concerned with the "time travel" aspects of how she organizes her memory, as opposed to confirming she indeed remembers things accurately. They state "the accuracy of such detailed autobiographical memories is difficult to verify" and apparently did not attempt any verification at all. There weren't any old family photos or videos available (and which she had not already seen) by which to confirm and assess her memory is indeed accurate?
