> Virtual Boy games will require the Switch Online Expansion Pack add-on

I never understood why they didn't just... sell the games individually as an option? That doesn't make the subscription itself less attractive, right? Amazon still sells music even after they started their subscription service.

The other accessories they released through this program at least had uses outside of the accompanying subscription, but this one I guess just turns into a brick when your time runs out.

I will admit it's pretty cool, though.

(new)3DS is still likely going to be the best way to play these games, with the red viper emulator. You get pixel perfect output with only a modest 8px border, the ability to change the screen color from the characteristic red to your own preference (a surprisingly nice accessibility feature), adjustable depth with a convenient hardware 3D slider, and no clunky head gear to drag around.

Seriously, 3DS is so perfectly suited to virtual boy it's a wonder Nintendo didn't make it official. I strongly encourage anyone who hasn't yet to give it a go!
