> "We've spent $5 trillion as a planet pursuing the wind-solar-battery approach," Burgum said while deferring to US Energy Secretary Chris Wright for evidence of that $5T figure
Does anyone know if this is true? It doesn’t sound true to me. A new modern nuclear plant, even in America, costs like $20 billion. For $5 trillion we could build hundreds of nuclear plants. Natural gas turbines sounds like a really backwards way to increase power generation.
