The Starbucks Turnaround That Has Baristas and Customers Steamed

I never minded Starbucks and considered paying for their product a tax when I spent time there, usually doing some computer work, or meeting friends. But, what was once $1.00 for a cup of coffee is $6 easy. And I'm pretty affluent, and all the sudden, I can make my own Illy espresso at home, or Kerig on the go, and spend way less than a buck. I get the order right, and there is no line. Starbucks, is in a tight spot, their product is not that good compared to the many regional coffee shops that have real espresso machines, and its too easy to find alternative options to avoid the excessive costs.
