So You Want to Host Your Own LLM? Don't

I wonder why all the blogposts were deleted from this site? https://news.ycombinator.com/from?site=mahdiyusuf.com

The only two remaining articles are basically just advertisements for Apple and Apple software products. This blog is indistinguishable from someone who has been bought out by a marketing agency for a business.

The reason I would want to host my own LLM is because I'm an adult. Every LLM that I've seen publicly available treat you like you're a 5-year-old that is incapable of having rational adult conversations about adult topics. It's as if they believe the world is not a complex and dynamic thing Where there are adults involved that have complex social interactions. They want to pronounce moral guidelines based upon their own cultural understanding and not realizing that cultures are broad and vast. They literally are censoring the knowledge that they're supposed to help share because they don't believe it is appropriate.

So I want to host my own LLM because I want to have adult conversations and not be chastised because I'm a curious person.

Definitionally, adult conversations involve talking to adults. What you will be doing may interest you, may educate you, may confirm your prejudices or confront them, but I am afraid to say the one thing it won't be, is an adult conversation.

Sorry.
