I'm a journalist and editorial developer by trade. The last five years I've been building/indie-hacking a Rails-based web app that creates groups of local friends. At the heart of the site is an algorithm that analyzes users based on a number of factors that research says makes friendships work. It then makes the groupings from there.
There is a video conferencing space where users can meet virtually at first, but the goal is to get people meeting in person, regularly.
I would love feedback on the site and advice on how to minimize barriers to entry or hesitation. Why you would or wouldn't adopt.
