I Spent One Year Building an Open-Source Project

As a developer, I often felt frustrated with traditional admin systems — they looked cold, lacked aesthetic design, and the user experience was far from enjoyable.

After countless iterations and late-night coding sessions, I decided to create something different: Art Design Pro — an open-source admin system template that blends modern design aesthetics with developer-friendly architecture.

Problems I Wanted to Solve Visual fatigue Staring at rigid, outdated interfaces all day is exhausting. I wanted to design a UI that feels fresh, elegant, and interactive. Poor user experience A system should not only work but also feel intuitive. With clean layouts and smooth interactions, users can focus on tasks instead of fighting the UI. Reinventing the wheel Too many developers waste time building the same components from scratch. Art Design Pro provides a refined, ready-to-use foundation — saving time so you can focus on business logic and innovation. Core Features Balanced aesthetics & practicality — every detail is polished, but never overdesigned. Emotion-driven user experience — interactions feel natural, warm, and responsive. Modular & customizable — flexible enough for quick iterations or personalized branding. Fully responsive design — seamless across desktop, tablet, and mobile. No over-engineering — transparent and simple structure for easy extension. Quick Start git clone https://github.com/Daymychen/art-design-pro cd art-design-pro pnpm install pnpm dev Open http://localhost:3006 and you’re ready to explore.

Why This Project Matters I believe admin systems don’t have to be boring. They can be functional and beautiful, efficient yet delightful.

Art Design Pro is my attempt to give developers a strong foundation that respects both engineering quality and design sensibility. Whether you’re a startup founder, indie hacker, or part of a larger team, I hope this project helps you build faster — without compromising on user experience.

Closing Thoughts Art Design Pro is still evolving, and I would love to hear feedback from the community. Contributions are welcome — whether it’s code, design ideas, or feature requests.

Try it out: Art Design Pro Live Demo Star it on GitHub: github.com/Daymychen/art-design-pro

Together, let’s make admin systems not just usable, but enjoyable.
