When Obama spoke out against cancel culture a few years back, I thought that we'd peaked with cancel culture and it'd go away.
“This idea of purity and you’re never compromised and you’re always politically woke, and all that stuff — you should get over that quickly. The world is messy. There are ambiguities. People who do really good stuff have flaws.” Obama was 100% correct here.
This time it's conservatives doing the cancelling; i dare you to tell me OP did no wrong. But we're all flawed. The person above is not going to look at losing their job and consider where they might have gone wrong. They are going to be extra polarized now. It doesnt serve anyone to have her become more polarized.
To reach unity again, we're going to need to stop this. This firing tool that both sides can use will lead to totalitarianism, demanding submission and suppression of their speech and identity. It's not healthy for society at all.
