I don't mind it. It largely stays out of my way visually and otherwise.

The only catch is that with dark mode and a black background in the upper left and lower right they add a shiny border to app icons that IMO is several settings too intense.

Otherwise I'm never sure how to deal with new phone / UI discussion. I don't mean to dismiss all criticism but:

1. It's the social media age and exaggerated critical comments always get more attention and it seems like the usual cycle is to just complain dramatically and clicks are the end goal. Then a few months from now I'll never hear about it again. This goes for lots of things beyond phones and I ask ... so how bad is it? I can't tell.

2. IMO UI takes a bit to get used to, I'm already not noticing most of glass and it's not getting in my way.

Honestly this goes for a lot of topics on the internet ...

My new process for Apple upgrades is to wait until the .1 release. My phone doesn't have Apple Intelligence so I won't get half the features anyway.
