Could it be because SSDs and hard disks are both made by same guys?

I bought my first spinning rust in years yesterday, modern content creation is sort of untenable on just SSDs. Especially if you're holding on to originals for any length of time. If I'm shooting two cameras at full quality it's almost 4gb/minute. Just about the entire size of my very first Quantum Fireball SE.
