I was really struck by how similar this time feels to our own. In their time it was irrational exuberance about so many railroads, with no path to profit, and now it is AI. Lots of other similarities as well. Tariffs, monetary debasement, interest rates causing bond issues, inflation, immigration. Reading about this made me realize there is truly nothing new under the sun and that time is a flat circle. Maybe I can better prepare for this coming again.
