Restricting college-educated immigration appears to:

    Reduce employment of locals;

    Reduce the wages of (most) locals;

    Reduce venture capital investment and IPOing;

    Reduce patenting;

    Increase outsourcing and offshoring.

Many of these effects are compounded when it involves smaller firms.
