He’s sort of right, though we’re the problem.

When I want to talk about our visitors I like to say, they aren’t the big secret.

Thought controlled America and American thought control is the big secret. It’s what has happened to the cargo cult “Stargate” program over the last decades. Those humans of Power (to travel through and mess with our minds, not time and space) are the real secret, and alienating our visitors is only one bizarre consequence.

The visitors (who have been here for over ten thousand years) helped make the movie Abyss thinking we would some day be friends. (They, like humans with Power can also travel through and influence our minds without our awareness.)

Now the paranoid nationalists want hellfire missiles to aid in our diplomacy.
