Yikes. This is actually the second time I've heard of the subject of a subreddit being a mod of their own sub. Paige Lorenze, an influencer, is a mod of nycinfluencer snark and she prolifically deletes all unflattering threads and specifically all photos of her from before her numerous plastic surgeries, however that's certainly lower stakes than using one's mod power to suppress news about an active homicide investigation.
