Show HN: Grow and Monitor Your AI Search Traffic

https://www.spiderseek.com
7•asteroidandy•4mo ago
Hi HN,

I’ve been working on Spiderseek, a platform to help track and grow website visibility in AI-powered search engines (e.g. Perplexity, ChatGPT, and other agents).

Traditional SEO tools are expensive and focused on Google-style search. I wanted something lightweight and AI-first, so I built Spiderseek:

AI Research – Explore domains and keywords to uncover new opportunities.

AI Analytics – See traffic, crawl activity, and page metrics, plus insights from AI agents.

Content Submission – Get content indexed instantly in major AI agents.

Rankings – Browse the top 1000 domains sorted by citations and sources.

It’s very early, but live and priced at $1/month while I grow the database and features.

I’d love feedback from the HN community on:

How useful this data feels.

What additional features you’d want.

Which AI Search Engine Coverage is most important to you (e.g ChatGPT vs Copilot Vs Gemini)

https://www.spiderseek.com

Thanks! Andy

Interesting! I can see this being valuable to retailers. One question I have after looking at the landing page--how does it work? Is this something like similarweb that tracks traffic and relevance? Or, is this something you put on your server to measure traffic? Something else altogether?
asteroidandy•4mo ago
Thanks for the feedback. It actually works both ways in the examples you provided, they are just different sections of the product.

So the "research" feature is similiar to similarweb in that you can look up a domain to find which search queries it ranks for in Chatgpt and the specific article it links to as a citation/source. I have a fairly small database at this stage so it mainly returns data on the big websites but I am rolling out a 10x larger database in the coming weeks.

The "analytics" feature is a script you install that tracks the traffic ai search engines send you and more in depth information such as the breakdown of traffic from the different ai search engines and which page content is performing the best. I also track page crawls but the ai engines are pretty sneaky (fake user agents etc.) so it's hard to monitor.

Hope that helps. I might update the website with a video so it's easier to see how the features work.

Looks interesting. Just signed up and clicked "Test Script Installation" but not getting it verified.

grsfkev•4mo ago
Seems like there is a bug for this feature too? https://jmp.sh/M3h33AwJ
asteroidandy•4mo ago
No bug here, my database is still quite small, we're covering 300K keywords at the moment and that keyword isn't inside our database. We're releasing a much larger database in the coming weeks so stay tuned. I'll add that keyword and a bit more Q&A searches around referral software for you.

Really appreciate you signing up for the beta, hope you find it useful.

grsfkev•4mo ago
Thanks. I was expecting something more turnkey, where I could just click a button(s) and improve LLM rankings. Maybe mistaken on what Spiderseek does
asteroidandy•4mo ago
Fixed! My test function was looking for the script inside the <head> element, it'll now pickup the script anywhere in the <html> element so doesn't matter if it's placed in the footer. I double checked it for you and looks like it's picked up some traffic already from ChatGPT.
