Students can be so clever. In the 1970s students at Humboldt State University (now Cal Poly Humboldt) put up a sign in front of a lone redwood tree: The Ronald Reagan Memorial Redwood Grove. As Governor of California, Reagan had opined, "If you've seen one redwood tree you've seen them all."
