they leave out deap ocean warming, which is an extitential threat to our civilizational level. should our ocean warm past the delicatly balanced point of waters greatest density, it will leap its banks and take out all of the worlds shipping infrastructure. unfortunatly good data on the worlds oceans is not good enough to draw conclusions about what is happening. at 1.3 billion km³ it will take a concerted effort to monitor what is going on, other than the simple fact, that it is warming and expanding.

This is from the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK)

   founded in 1992 and is a non-profit organization. The constitutional organs are the General Assembly, the Board of Trustees, the Board of Directors and the Scientific Advisory Board. On the 31.01.2025 PIK had 466 employees, of whom 297 were scientists,  101 were support staff and 68 were student assistants and apprentices.

  PIK is a member of the Leibniz Association. The basic funding is provided by grants from the Federal State of Brandenburg together with the Federal Government and the other states. In 2024, the institute received around 14.8 million euros in institutional funding. Additional project funding from external sources amounted to over 25 million euros.

  As an independent, non-profit research institute, the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research also advises the German Bundestag and the German government.
