I got tired of hitting arbitrary time limits when recording technical demos and tutorials. Most free screen recorders cap you at 5 minutes, which barely covers a basic code walkthrough.

So I built Bloom – a simple, unlimited screen recorder that just works.

What it does:

- Unlimited recording time (no artificial caps) - Full resolution output without premium subscriptions - Camera selection and resizable webcam overlay - Cross-platform (Mac/Windows/Linux) - Completely free and open source

v1.1.0 just shipped with a cleaner UI and the #1 requested feature: a " Open recordings folder" button that appears after recording. Small thing, but saves tons of time hunting for your files.

For the presentation crowd: Perfect if you're doing technical talks, code reviews, or long-form tutorials where you need more than a few minutes to explain complex concepts.

Built with Electron. Nothing fancy – just focused on solving the core problem of recording without limits.
