I built Planvo.xyz , a web-based goal & habit tracker that’s fast, polished, and completely free. What makes it different from the usual trackers: social discovery and detailed analytics.
Why I built it
Most goal trackers fall into two camps:
Simple habit apps with no depth
Complex productivity tools locked behind subscriptions
I wanted something lightweight but powerful — with the ability to explore other people’s goals for inspiration and get data-rich feedback on my own progress.
What makes Planvo unique
Social discovery without pressure: Share goals publicly, browse what others are working on, and “like” goals you find inspiring. It’s less about competition, more about motivation.
Detailed analytics: 7-day sparklines, progress rings, streaks, momentum tracking, activity heatmaps — a visual-first way to see where you’re winning or stalling.
Goal resets by timeframe: Daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly — each resets automatically, so short-term and long-term goals feel natural.
Combination of tracking + journaling: Every progress update supports notes, so you get both numbers and narrative.
Core features
50+ goal templates (Health, Study, Career, Finance, etc.)
Real-time dashboard with visual progress trends
Rich journal system tied to each update
Mobile-optimized, touch-friendly web app
Privacy-first by default (public sharing is optional)
100% free, no ads, no freemium tiers
Try it out
I’d love feedback from HN on two things:
What would make the social discovery feature more valuable?
What analytics/insights would help you stay consistent long term?
Thanks for checking it out
