I disagree with a lot here.

- I don't know anyone understanding Hell literally. Besides, while body decays, mind is what perceives pain (of various kinds). If anything, mental pain has potential to be much worse than physical.

They fear to lose what they have, their life - all they know.

I think the opposite is to not fear death.
