One that is of interest to me is the javascript blocker.
Obviously, killing JavaScript destroys interactive websites, but most that I visit are basically static content hidden or defaced by cookie popups, begs, promotions and so on. I selectively disable javascript just to view content.
I use an extension on desktop/Firefox and an app (Sheriff) on iOS.
