Ask HN: Is the Dead Internet Here?

2•worldsavior•1h ago
I look at a YouTube video and all I see are weird generated usernames with sophisticated comments.

Comments

fatihkocnet•1h ago
I really believe that. With the rising of AI technologies and automation tools like n8n makes really easy to create fake contents, communities, comments etc. There are tons of contents about automating content and fake users. I've recently posted a content on Reddit and realized some of the comments are just rephrasing my original content and rewriting it with a few sentences. Don't know what they are aiming for.
worldsavior•58m ago
They're probably aiming for karma, which then they can post comments and look legitimate.

For me, without HN as an aggregator (now, a filter/curator) it is less than useless.

Time to re-vision or reinvent or circumvent.
