> For the first time, pornography apps are available on iPhone from other marketplaces — apps we’ve never allowed on the App Store because of the risks they create, especially for children.

Wouldn't anybody think about the children?!!!!!???!!

The real impact is app users aren't going to be herded towards paying a 30% fee on top of all digital content and services, forever, because the developers are banned from displaying, linking, or mentioning competing payment options.

Apple is either going to earn that massive commission - the judge in the Epic case observed $3 out of every $4 is just profit rather than invested into better reviews or better security - or lose it to someone who does a better job of it... if the EU Commission nuts-up gives them that daily fine for charging what is now up to 20% fee for anyone daring to use external payments, anyway.

Apple once again argues that Macs are unacceptably insecure.

wrt App Store security, Apple could publish the minimum security and privacy guidelines that app stores needed to implement to participate.

This is how security works. This is how companies get to process credit cards, how businesses get certified for all sorts of things, and the process for approval is clear. I have never seen a security policy where it’s only secure if we do it. This is what autocratic presidents do to perpetuate their reign.
