>Health care, education and social services are adding jobs at breakneck pace as the population ages. America needs more nurses, teachers, and caregivers every year. These are professions with real future demand. Yet men remain mostly absent. They linger at the margins, clinging to shrinking fields while growth passes them by.

Bad for young men chasing status and a desire for traditional gender roles, good for women (unconcerned with status) seeking autonomy and self sufficiency with good paying, stable healthcare jobs as the US rapidly ages.
When a woman enters a traditionally male role, she's celebrated. When a man enters a traditionally female role, he becomes an intruder, thought of as a predator even. Why would a man bother to work in terribly paying jobs such as teaching, especially when there's a real risk of being accused? Not to mention, why would men work when there's no incentive to own a house, or have a family?
