I built Kora - a mobile app where you can have conversations with historical philosophers like Socrates and Marcus Aurelius.
The idea is to make philosophy more interactive and accessible. Instead of only reading quotes, you can ask questions and explore ideas in dialogue. Current features include: • Text and lifelike voice chats with philosophers • Daily wisdom notifications + discussion with Marcus Aurelius • Essay critique (get feedback on your writing from different philosophers)
Stack • Frontend: Bravo Studio (no-code mobile builder) • Backend: Xano (APIs, user data) • AI: OpenAI • Subscriptions/paywall: RevenueCat
We launched last week on iOS (Android coming soon) and already have early paying subscribers.
I would love feedback from the HN community - on the idea itself, the tech stack, and what you think could make this more valuable. I am especially curious whether you see potential beyond casual curiosity (students, lifelong learners, philosophy lovers).
Happy to answer questions. Thanks for reading!
